Things I'm Loving Lately - Summer 14/15

2/11/2015

It's that time again, when I get to share a love list with you all :) The things on this list bring me joy and nourishment, and its my hope that they can do the same for you. It's always good to know what's out there and find new things to inspire you on your health journey, it definitely spreads a happiness injection.

So without further ado, the first thing on my list is:

My Gratitude Journal & The Happi Empire!
Everyday I write in this beautiful journal (from the HappiEmpire) about what i'm grateful for in my life, the things that bring me pleasure, happiness, learning, and sometimes even pain as I feel we learn the most from these experiences. It's a wonderful feeling to reflect on all the goodness in my life and the world, and it can be for you too :)
The Happi Empire can be found at www.thehappiempire.com, and its a gorgeous website filled with tools that help you tune into your true self and experience genuine peace and happiness in your life. Fran from the Happi Empire also designed the Wholesome Chick Naturopathy logo, so I think she is extra rad!

Second thing on my love list is:
Summer Fruits

So much goodness, flavour, antioxidants, vitamins and nutrition in one bowl or spoon! This dragon fruit was purchased recently at Bendigo Wholefoods - who are rad by the way! It was sweet, florally and full of delciousness. If you haven't yet, I recommend you find one and try it! Mango's, sweet mangos, and yummy stone fruits have been a staple in our kitchen lately too. Oh yum!

Third:
The Whole Pantry Cookbook
Picture
You may have heard of Belle and 'The Whole Pantry', as she is a regular on social media and on the Aussie health scene. If you haven't however, consider this your news flash. Her brand new cookbook is here, and its filled to the brim with delicious, healthy, mostly vegetarian fare. The recipes are gluten and dairy free for the intolerant among us, and also easy to make and implement. The book features a section on how to live your life in a more natural and well way too. A must read for those of you on a health journey!

Fourth:
Our sweet pets
Picture
I know this isnt' technically a new thing on the health scene, but studies have shown that having pets is a great thing for emotional health and stress reduction. We can definitely vouch for that. This photo is of our dog Lucy (on the left), and Mum and Dads dog Harvey. Both gorgeous happy fluffpots that love cuddles.

Fifth:
Walks at Lake Weeroona
Picture
If you are a Bendigo local you'll be familiar with the lovely Lake Weeroona. It's a place that has such a peaceful air about it, just being near it is soothing to the soul. It's been lovely to go walking around the Lake in this warmer weather and just enjoy the atmosphere.

I'm going to leave it at this for today. I definitely could continue, possibly on and on, but I'll save some for another time and let you get on with your day too :)

What new things have you found lately that you love?
What things do you do that bring you joy?

Sharing the love :)
