Things I’m Loving – July 2013
by Alysia Chick

We are smack bang in the depths of winters chill, and I know it can be hard to get motivated this time of year. So I’m going to share with you some things I’ve been enjoying that help keep me motivated, interested and inspired.

1# Candles – the best! Candles are often going in our house, especially during Winter and when we get home from work at night time. They help to create that wonderful feeling of a home sanctuary and relaxation, and the warm ambient light really creates a calming atmosphere.

Candles and a warm bath are even better, especially at the end of a long Winters day. Adding some bath salts infused with lavender essential oils makes it extra special. Treat yourself today :)

2# Organic vegie delivery – Wowzers I love this! It’s great coming home on a Friday night after a week at work, and your groceries are waiting for you at your door step! Fresh organic produce bursting with nutrients and flavour. Mmmm delicious, and less time spent at the grocery store on your weekend! I promise the real thing is better than my photos!!

I get my organics delivered by Bendigo Organics, which you can find here: http://www.organicsbendigo.com.au/

They also delivery things like organic coconut milk, tinned tomatoes and beans, breads, teas and body products. You can find all of their produce on the website. Delivery in Bendigo is $5, and surrounds is $10. Well worth it for the convenience it offers you.

3# Morning walks – you might think I’ve gone loopy, loving my morning walks in Winter. It’s such a special time though, early in the morning when everything is tranquil, and not many people are about. The good thing about
it in winter is you get to done your scarf, gloves, ear warmers and jacket and get moving. The circulation of your blood quickly warms your body up, and you come home so refreshed and ready for the day ahead. I like to walk in nature, we live right near a reservoir and nature reserve and it’s really peaceful and nurturing to the spirit.

4# Warming winter meals. If you haven’t already discovered, you will quickly learn that food is a major love in my life! Every season has something different to offer, and in Winter
there is such opportunity to use nourishing root vegies, grains and pulses, organic meats and spices to create delicious wholesome foods that warm your body and spirit.
Here are a couple of meals that have come out of my kitchen recently:

5# Self-love work. Powerful, inspiration, amazing! As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m currently involved in a self love course by Jai Ni Teo called Healthy, Happy Abundant in 6 weeks. It’s a game changer, and it really helps you to discover what beliefs and thoughts have been holding you back, move through them and look at life in a positive inspiring light.

Well that's my July love list.

What’s on your winter love list this month? I know a few of you have been enjoying the Pukkah cinnamon, cardamom and ginger tea from last month’s love list :) Any yummy meals, treats or teas that your enjoying at the moment?

Love and Light
