I just wanted to come online today and share with you some very simple tips and ideas that you can incorporate into your daily lives, which will have a powerful impact on your overall health and wellbeing.
drinking enough water is so important for our health. Every single cell in our
body is surrounded by and contains fluid, which needs water to function
optimally. Some signs and symptoms of dehydration include headaches, muscle
pain, constipation and fatigue. One of the best ways to make sure you get enough
water is to have a glass as soon as you get up in the morning and keep a bottle
at your desk throughout the day. Make sure you sip from it often. Ideally we
need to consume at least 1.5 litres daily, and more for most people. Making sure
you have water handy keeps this easy. Herbal teas also count for your water
intake, but unfortunately black teas and coffee do
The second tip is green leafy
vegetables! By this I mean spinach, rocket, kale, kolrabi ect.
Consuming green leafy vegetables every day is a must for health, as they provide
so many vitamins and minerals, plus fibre and antioxidants. WHen incorporated
into the diet they ensure a healthy digestive tract, immune system,
cardiovascular system and improved nutritional status. There are many ways to
include these goodies in your diet, including in sandwiches, salads and green
smoothies! Having a green smoothie for breakfast made of spinach, banana,
berries and coconut water is a fabulous way to start your morning, and a great
way to sneak in the greens.
The third one is
being in the moment. Taking the time to stop and smile
at the small moments throughout your day really helps to increase your feel good
hormones. When you stop and really feel the moment (the way it looks, feels,
smells and sounds) you can't help but feel grateful and happy. Stopping to smell
roses, listen to a pretty bird in a tree, or smile at an elderly couple holding
hands while crossing the road all bring happiness to your soul and improve your
day. This simple technique can dramatically reduce stress, and improve your
wellbeing and overall satisfaction with life.
I hope these
little tips resound with you, and that you try them and notice how good you
feel. There are plenty more tips to come, but for now I wish you much health and
