Today I'd like to share with you Green Smoothies. They sound kinda gross, but they were introduced to me by a Naturopath who recommended them for energy and as an easy way to boost nutrient intake. They work a real treat, and also surprisingly taste quite yummy! Yes, I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tried them, and so i've kept going and now Brendan has braved the green smoothie with a happy ending too.
Let me introduce you to the first and main ingredient:
The important part is to have the blender at least 1/2 full of greens, as this is where a lot of the vitamins, minerals and energy comes from in our green glass of goodness.
Next we add the sweet ingredients.
Today mine came out purpley brown because I added the blueberries, but usually it comes out bright green which is kinda fun.
